ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Founded in 1904, the Siam Society Under Royal Patronage is a Thai cultural organization with an international scope. It promotes the study and knowledge-sharing about the cultures, history, arts, and heritage conservation of Thailand and its neighboring countries in South-East Asia. As the most active international society in South-East Asia for knowledge-sharing of cultural heritage and advocacy of cultural heritage, there is at least one event occurring at The Siam Society each week. The Siam Society’s facilities include a library recognized in 2014 as the “Outstanding Specialist Library” by the Thai Library Association, the Kamthieng House Museum, and the Saeng Aroon House. The Siam Society hosts regular lectures, study trips, conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and cultural performances. ABOUT THE POSITION:
The officer will work with the Siam Society staff to develop The Society's digital transformation. This extensive assignment is expected to entail the following:
Review TSS current database, workflows/processes, processes, products and service, and design a digital system that will digitize all workflow processes in a systematic and comprehensive manner.
Design should best include systems that allow for growth in terms of volume and new/additional processes if needed
Determine the optimal hardware/software (both purchased and subscription-based) configuration
Post implementation of this design, instruct staff on use and any future upgrade. This includes creating a new digital database for its membership, as the current system is outdated. The officer will also undertake work as assigned by the Managing Director of the Society.
